Ceyda Oskay making a t-shirt at the Istanbul Biennial, Worlblom exhibition.
Istanbul Biennial, 2019 (Hosted under Güneš Terkol and Güçlü Öztekin’s Worlblom) - samples
A series of t-shirts custom made for participants by listening to their dreams and worries, and creating symbols that either stay or disappear after two nights of sleeping in the shirts. The shirts were inspired by historic Talisman shirts, with the addition of an imagined ritual: of sleeping in the shirts for two nights where some images (worries) wash off and others (dreams) stay. The shirts were also made at the Liverpool Alternates Biennial in 2019, Cooked and Raw exhibition, by Ceyda, who had before then, been making them for friends regularly.
